The city is making headway on it’s plan to open up 3 supervised drug use sites. These sites will be favilitys where drug users can go and inject their street drugs safely, under supervision from qualified healthcare workers.
The project is looking for public feedback on the proposed 3-location plan. You can have your input heard by attending one of the 3 open houses to discuss the plan with officials involved in the process.
Locations and Dates:
- NorWest Community Health Centre, 525 Simpson Street, April 9th
- Joseph Esquega Health Centre, 401 East Donald St, April 10th
- Elevate NWO, 102-106 Cumberland Street North, April 11th
There is also an online survey website where you can share your input. Heres the link https://questionnaire.simplesurvey.com/f/s.aspx?s=33DE9BD0-BCF4-4534-8927-45ADCE44702A
These sites are highly controversial, and hopefully these meetings will educate the public on what they are about.
