TAMII RAE MORRISON appeared via telephone from Fort Frances OPP Station this morning, Sunday March 25,2018 after being arrested last evening for 2 more breaches of recognizance (bail).
Morrison is accused of failing to report to OPP and failing to remain in residence between 10pm and 8am. She has already been released on bail with surety.
Her Worship Justice of the Peace Denette Maslach is presiding along with Her Worship Zelda Kitcheekeesik.
Crown Attorney Trevor Jukes is present and Duty Counsel is Andrew Desmoulin who is accompanied by 2 Lakehead University Law students.
Morrison already has outstanding charges of assault X 2,
breach of recognizance X 5
This is a reverse onus situation and the Crown is not agreeing to her release until he speaks to Morrison’s mother whom is surety.
Morrison is repeatedly interrupting saying that she wants to be released today. Her Worship Maslach has to stop Morrison from talking so Crown Attorney Jukes can finish.
Duty Counsel Desmoulin speaks privately to Morrison. It’s agreed by all that Morrison will appear in Fort Frances court Monday March 26,2018 where she was already scheduled to appear on her outstanding charges.
