Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Kenora man for firearms offences.
On Wednesday, March 28, 2018 shortly before 8:00 pm, police responded to a report of an accidental discharge of a firearm in a residence in Keewatin. No injuries were reported.
Police attended and as a result of the investigation, 19 year old John PRIES of Kenora has been charged with Careless Use of a Firearm contrary to section 86(1) of the Criminal Code (CC) and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm contrary to s. 91(1) CC.
He is to appear in Kenora court on April 26, 2018 to answer to the charges.
