Appearing this afternoon, Good Friday, Friday, March 30, 2018 via telephone from the Kenora OPP Station in Courtroom 104 is 27-year old NAICHE KEESIC of Kenora who was arrested last night.
It’s W.A.S.H. (Weekend And Statutory Holiday) Court today. Her Worship, Zelda Kitchekeesik is presiding. Provincial Crown Jane Ann McGill is here along with Duty Counsel Lianne Roberge.
KEESIC was arrested last evening by Kenora OPP at the Kenora cemetery. Court hears he was screaming continuously.
He’s been charged with causing a disturbance and breach of probation for not keeping the peace and being of good behaviour.
Keesic was just released from jail on March 22,2018 on another break and enter sentence. He has a very lengthy record of break and enter, violence and theft in Kenora.
Crown Attorney McGill is not consenting to the release of Keesic. His criminal record is just too long. It’s a Crown onus situation.
Keesic will remain in Kenora jail for the long weekend and appear in Kenora Bail Court on Tuesday, April 3,2018
