As a safety precaution, Stella Artois says its recalling beer in 330 millimetre glass bottles, The company says there may be a flaw in some bottles that causes a small piece of glass to break and potentially fall into the beer.
The exact supplier wasn’t identified, but Stella Artois said the bottles were manufactured by one of its many suppliers.
This recall is valid for packages of 6, 12, 18, and 24 bottles of Stella Artois, as well as “Best of Belgium” multi-packs sold in Canada and the U.S.A. Also, only applying in the United States is a recall on 6 and 12 packs of Stella Artois Legere.
The impacted packages have packages codes of 49, 52, 55 and best before Canadian dates of Frb 20, 2018 to Sept 26, 2018.
Stella Artois is not only offering reimbursement for purchased recalled products, but the company is also working with retailers and distributors to remove affected packages before reaching consumers.
Cans, draft, and bottles of any other production codes are unaffected by this issue.
