The Thunder Bay Police Service is investigating two vehicle fires that occurred during the morning of April 1, 2018.
P18032782 – An officer attended a residence in the 300 block of Catherine Street upon the request of Thunder Bay Fire Rescue to take a report of suspected arson incident that fire personnel were called to at 3:45 a.m. The vehicle located in a tarp enclosure in the rear of the residence had been damaged in the fire.
P18032790 – Just after 7:30 a.m. an officer observed dark smoke while on patrol on Arthur Street near Waterloo Street. The officer checked the area and located two vehicles in flames on the 200 block of Waterloo Street. The officer requested assistance by Thunder Bay Fire Rescue while confirming the residents in the home were safe. Both vehicles were damaged in this incident.
Police continue to investigate these suspected arson incidents and are appealing to the public for information about these incidents or suspicious individuals that may have been seen in these areas during the early morning of April 1, 2018.
