Thunder Bay Police Services Board has suddenly cancelled a hearing that was supposed to happen on Friday. The hearing was supposed to look into the 3 officers conduct during the DeBungee death investigation.
Police Chief J.P. Levesque applied for an extension for the notice of hearing to the 3 officers, as the Office of the Independent Police Review Director directed, after their investigation on the investigation of the death of Stacy DeBungee.
OIPRD recommendations are that the officers face Police Act charges, such as discredible conduct as well as neglect of duty for how the death of Stacy DeBungee was handled.
The reason for the hearing to be cancelled was a “procedural matter”.
