Thunder Bay’s Vampiro Talks Retirement

50-year-old Vampiro, also know by his real name Ian Hodgkinson, is well known for his World Championship Wrestling career, and his efforts to establish a Thunder Bay chapter of the Guardian Angels.

During his wrestling career, he was the Tag Team Champion with his partner the Great Muta.

Hodkinson also works a multitude of roles for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, which is a professional wrestling organization.

Vampiro made this statement on his Vampiro Facebook page.

โ€œEarlier today I posted in Spanish that I have decided to pick a date this year to retire as an active wrestler.

I have a few people to talk to about it and that will determine the how, and when I will have Last match or some good bye matches.

Itโ€™s time, and I wanna continue to focus on teaching Krav Maga and other things.

I will continue to teach people T seminars who are interested in wrestling, but also I will continue producing AAA tv and working on LUCHA UNDERGROUND.

My time has passed in the ring and itโ€™s time to say good bye !

I feel great about it and well once I know, I will fill you all in!

Take care!
