On April 9, 2017, members of the Fort Frances Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), conducted a drug trafficking investigation in the Rainy River District.

A vehicle stop was subsequently conducted in Watten Township of the Rainy River District at 11:46 PM, and as a result, three males were arrested and charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA). A quantity of Hydromorphone was seized.

45 year old Jason ALLAN, of the Rainy River District, has been charged with:

Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking s. 5(2) CDSA and with for breaching his Conditional Sentence Order. He is being held in custody.

40 year old David BAXTER, of the Rainy River District, has been charged with:

He was released on a Promise to Appear, and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Fort Frances on May 14, 2018 in answer to the charges.

39 year old Jonathon GREEN, of the Rainy River District has been charged with:

Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking s. 5(2) CDSA.

He was released on a Promise to Appear, and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Fort Frances on May 14, 2018 in answer to the charges.
