Damage to Vehicles
On Sunday April 15, 2018, the Dryden Police Service received back to back reports of car windows being smashed. Police attended on Queen Street after a report of a parked van that sustained damage to a window. Shortly after this call, police attended a residence on Victoria Avenue where a second car sustained a smashed window.
Police identified two young males ages 12 and 9 responsible for the damage. The suspects have been referred to the Youth Criminal Justice Program as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Assault with a Weapon Investigation
The Dryden Police Service have 40-year-old John Adolphus LENNY of Dryden in custody facing charges of Assault with a Weapon and Failing to Comply with a Probation Order after an altercation with a 26 year old male.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated and released from the hospital.
The Dryden Police report that this is an isolated incident and the two are known to each other. Lenny is scheduled to appear in a bail hearing April 16, 2018 in Sioux Lookout.
