The Ministry of Health and Long Term Care highlighted a number of areas that workers had not followed rules on many levels at Bethammi Nursing Home.
The report dated March 26th was completed after a quality inspection at the nursing home located on Carrie Street.
The report lists many issues where it says the home did not comply with provincial regulations such as ensuring the needs of residents were adequately met, menu planning, improper storage of drugs, etc.
Tracy Buckler, St Joseph’s Care Group CEO blames staffing levels for the problems uncovered in the report.
Buckler urges that an action plan is being developed to bring solutions to the table.
