On March 30, 2018, at approximately 11:07 a.m. members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Kenora responded to a report of a collision between a vehicle and a train on Highway 671.
OPP, Treaty Three Police and Kenora Ambulance all attended the scene where the lone male occupant was able to be removed from the vehicle and transported to the hospital to receive medical attention.
As a result of the investigation, 61-year old Christopher Swain of Kenora has been charged with;
- Driving While Ability Impaired (Alcohol) contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC).
- Fail or Refuse to Provide a Breath Sample contrary to section 254(5) CC
- Fail to Comply contrary to section 145(5.1) CC
The accused is to attend the Kenora Courthouse on April 26, 2018, to answer to the charges.
