FAILING TO APPEAR IN FORT SEVERN FOR ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM GETS WOMAN ARRESTED.
Appearing on Saturday, May 4, 2018, via telephone to Courtroom 104 from the NISHNAWBE ASKI POLICE Station on the Fort Severn Indian Reserve #89 is 32-year old TRACY STONEY.
Fort Severn is the most northerly community in Ontario.
It’s W.A.S.H. (Weekend And Statutory Holiday) Court today. Her Worship, Denette Maslach is presiding. Provincial Crown Katrina Van Kessel is here along with Duty Counsel Lianne Roberge.
STONEY was arrested last evening in Fort Severn. Court hears STONEY had allegedly failed to appear in court on February 12, 2018, to face a charge of assault causing bodily harm.
The Crown is opposed to the release of Stoney on primary grounds.
The Justice of the Peace will remand STONEY to Kenora Bail Court for Monday, May 7, 2018.
STONEY will fly to the Kenora Jail.
