(ATIKOKAN, ON) – A member of the Atikokan Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police has charged an Atikokan man for Impaired Driving related offences.
On Saturday, May 05, 2018, at approximately midnight, while on general patrol, an officer stopped a vehicle in the Town of Atikokan for a Highway Traffic Act offence.
The officers determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to the Atikokan detachment for further tests.
Eric MARQUARDT, 48 years of age, from Atikokan, was arrested and charged with:
Operate a Motor Vehicle with over 80 Mgs of Alcohol contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
He is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Atikokan on June 6, 2018 in answer to the charges.
