The Dryden Police Service Reports a Very Busy Weekend.

The Dryden Police Service recorded more than 89 calls over the past weekend, with numerous arrests and charges.

On May 5, 2018 Dryden Police Service responded to a Domestic Incident where a victim was taken to the hospital with numerous injuries. The investigation indicates that the incident occurred at a First Street residence where a 38 year old male repeatedly assaulted his 22 year old female partner. The accused is charged with two counts of Domestic Related Assault with a Weapon, Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Forcible Confinement. The victim was treated and released from the hospital. The accused will appeared in court in Sioux Lookout today.

On May 6, just after 1:37pm Dryden Police Service answered an alarm at Crisis Response after a worker was assaulted and threatened with being stabbed. The accused then attempted to steal the victimโ€™s car but eventually left on foot. Police located the accused in the area and she was immediately arrested. Kristina Shebahkeget โ€“ 35 years of Dryden is charged with Robbery with a Weapon and Failing to Comply with an Undertaking. Shebahkeget will appear in court in Dryden on May 14th. The victim was not physically injured during this incident.
