A 28 year old BRIAN CARPENTER appeared by video in W.A.S.H. (Weekend And Statutory Holiday) Court on Saturday May 12,2018 from the TBPS Balmoral Station.
His Worship, Bernard Caron is presiding. Provincial Crown Sarah Munsch is here along with Duty Counsel Andrew Desmoulin.
CARPENTER was arrested last evening by TBPS officers on outstanding warrants. He was also charged with obstructing a police officer by providing a false identity.
The court hears that CARPENTER has 3 outstanding breach of probation charges from November 1,2017 that he’s supposed to attend court on May 15,2018 to answer to.
CARPENTER just received another probation order on February 12,2018.
He’s also charged with failing to report to Probation Officer in March. He was arrested in April and released on a recognizance and ordered to stay at the John Howard Bail Supervision on Syndicate Ave. He’s also facing a breach of recognizance charge for not residing there.
The Crown is not consenting to his release. Carpenter is being sent to the Thunder Bay Jail again and will make a video court appearance on Monday May 12,2018
