(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Yet another grass fire erupted in Thunder Bay, this time near County Park.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue’s Pumper 2 crew responded to a north side grass fire that was burning near the County Park black path by Brant Street this evening. The call came in shortly after 9:00 pm from a local REAL Concerned Citizen that was in the area.
The blaze was restricted to a small area, and kept away from nearby trees by the always impressive work done by Thunder Bay firefighters. The situation was extinguished promptly.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but with the dry conditions, lack of rain, and warmer temperatures which promote fires, the recent burst of flames is not unexpected.
