(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Appearing by video from the Thunder Bay Police Service station in courtroom 104 for bail this morning is 29-year-old Luca Nicola Giorgio.
Giorgio is alleged to have fraudulently impersonated someone else to avoid being arrested. The court hears that Giorgio has outstanding matters, and a 524 application has been submitted to bring those charges forward today.
Those charges stem from a July 2017 incident, and are as follows:
The crown is not consenting to Giorgio’s release, as the onus is on the accused to show cause as to why he should be released. Furthermore the crown requests a no contact/communication with 3 people that are involved in the matter.
Initially Giorgio was remanded into custody for a Tuesday May 22nd court date. He is ordered not to contact or communicate with 3 people. He was later granted bail on a $1000 no deposit, and a no alcohol condition. Giorgio is to appear in court on June 12th.
