(THUNDER BAY, ON) – A collision occurred Thursday May 24th, 2018 between a BMX bike and a blue car.
The incident happened at the intersection of Court and John Street. A witness on the scene told TRCCTB.COM that they passed by the incident after supper time, and saw a male that was visibly shaking, and repeatedly telling everyone that he did not see the bike approaching.
The teenaged cyclist was taken to hospital with unknown injuries, but it was said that the victim was not wearing a helmet.
***UPDATE: A family member has told TRCCTB.COM that the teenager cyclist is doing ok.

On Thursday May 24th at 7 p.m. a collision occurred between an automobile and a cyclist, on John Street Road near Machar Avenue.
The female cyclist was east bound on the north sidewalk crossing through the intersection.
The male driver of the vehicle was southbound in a laneway, wanting to turn right onto John St. The driver turned across the path of the cyclist striking the cyclist.
The driver of the vehicle has been charged under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act with start from stop position not in safety.
The cyclist was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
