(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Officers responded to a weapons call at the Ramanda – Landmark Inn on Dawson Road at approximately 10:30 p.m. on May 24, 2108 after a 911 call was place by hotel staff.
The 40 year old male employee refused entrance to a 25 year old male who entered the lobby as he was not a resident at the hotel. The male returned a second time and again was refused entry.
This time the male pulled out a knife and pointed it at the employee in a threatening manner and made his way into the hotel. Police were called and arrived within minutes.
The 25 year old male was located at the rear of the hotel and was arrested for Assault with a Weapon.
He was escorted to the Balmoral police station and will appear in court later this morning.
