A Busy Week for Dryden Police


(DRYDEN, ON)  – On May 19, 2018 a Dryden Police Officer was assaulted after he attended outside the Dryden High School for a call of two intoxicated individuals. While the officer attempted to arrest an 18 year old male, he was assaulted by a 15 year old female. The male began to resist arrest forcing the officer to call for back up to get both accused under arrest. Denzil Bouchard – 18, faces charges of Resist Arrest and fines under the Liquor License Act. He was released and will appear in court June, 11. 2018 The 15 year old female faces charges of Assault Police, Obstruct Police, Resist Arrest and fines under the Liquor License Act. She will appear in Youth Court on June 12, 2018.


On May 23, 2018 Dryden Police attended outside McDonalds Restaurant after receiving a report of a suspicious person. Police located 32 year old Joseph Desautels who was charged with Possession of Methamphetamines and Morphine under the Control Drugs and Substance Act. Desautels was issued an appearance notice and will appear in court June 11, 2018

On May, 23, 2018 Dryden Police charged 26 year old Chad Brown for Mischief after he was caught spray painting the Skate Board Park in North Dryden. He will appear in court on June 18, 2018.

Unsolved Crimes

On May 23, 2018 police received a call to a Phillips Street residence after the victim observed 2 suspects try to steal a motorcycle from the victim’s yard. The victim managed to scare two suspects off. The only description that was provided is that both suspects are males and one was wearing a white hoodie.

On May 23, 2018 police received a report of a window smashed out of vehicle parked near Walters Auto body.


On May 23, 2018 police receive a report from a home owner on Colonization Ave after someone trespassed through the victims’ yard and damaged the garden.

On May 24, 2018 at approximately 8:00 pm, a male suspect walked out of Safeway with a cart of groceries. The male was described as wearing a grey ball cap with sunglasses attached, grey shirt, black shorts and black shoes. Some of the stolen items were recovered outside the store.

On May 24, 2018 at approximately 8:45pm, Dryden Police receive a call from Ho Hos Restaurant that a male just left the restaurant without paying. The suspect is described as male, wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts, and black shoes. He left on foot carrying a large box full of Chinese food.
