(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Multiple REAL Concerned Citizens have hit our tip line tonight, in what is said to have been another death in our community, the 4th known one in the last week.
The information we gathered is indicative that this situation was yet, another overdose. Our witness to the scene, who was within earshot, told us that Thunder Bay Fire Rescue, Superior North EMS, and Thunder Bay Police Service responded to the Bruce Street home this evening.
Our source tells us that the home was not known for heavy traffic, which would be inconsistent with a known drug house. Instead, our witness tells us that the home seemed to be of the quiet nature and that the odd sketchy person would be seen coming and going, but never a consistent heavy flow of traffic.
A separate, confidential source who is known to the residents of the home, has told TRCCTB.COM that the death is most likely from a fentanyl overdose, as the individual was an active user.
Naloxone kits save lives, there is documented proof. Please, before you load your dope bag up with whatever drug you are up to, please, get a naloxone kit. Another excellent “how to stay alive while doing drugs” technique is to never use alone, always exercise the buddy system. The best solution to avoiding an overdose, is of course, to seek help and curb your drug use entirely.
Superior North EMS have reported that the cocaine supply in town can, and has been, tainted with enough fentanyl to cause overdoses. Our hard-working paramedics, firefighters, and police officers have intervened mid-overdose and brought many people back from the brink of death, some of those people have been saved more than once.
