(THUNDER BAY, ON) – This mornings traffic was disrupted when a 5 vehicle collision erupted on the scene of a area intersection.
TRCCTB.COM reports that the intersection of Arthur and the Thunder Bay Expressway was the location of a collision involving 5 cars. Thunder Bay Police Service was on scene helping direct traffic in order to keep our citizens safe.
A tow truck was visible, removing one of the vehicles shortly before 8:30 am. We have no word on if any injuries were sustained, but from the looks of the incident, it is believed that no life-threatening injuries could have occurred.

On May 31, 2018, at approximately 7:47am, officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a multi vehicle collision on Highway 61, north of Arthur Street.
The investigation revealed that a vehicle was south bound on Highway 61, when the driver reduced their speed to allow another vehicle into the lane. The driver that reduced their speed was struck from behind, by a vehicle. A third vehicle was able to slow down to avoid that collision but was struck from behind by two other vehicles.
There were five vehicles involved in the collision. One vehicle was not damaged, one vehicle sustained minor damage and three vehicles sustained extensive damages. There were no injuries reported
Three of the drivers have been charged with Follow Too Close contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
