(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On June 3, 2018, at approximately 11:19am, officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a missing male.
The male had ventured out on a Sea-Doo Personal Watercraft, on Dog Lake and had not returned.
Officers from the North West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), Thunder Bay OPP Marine officers and an officer from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) responded to search for the missing male on Dog Lake.
At approximately 4:53pm, the male was located by officers. He was cold, but uninjured.
The Sea Doo had broken down and the male had made it safely to shore, awaiting to be rescued.
