(ONIGAMING FIRST NATION, ON) -9 people have been charged surrounding a joint investigation between the Ontario Provincial Police and Treaty Three Police Service.
A methamphetamine investigation resulted in the two police services executing 2 search warrants under the criminal code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances actat a residence in Onigaming First Nation on Tuesday.
Police seized methamphetamine, stolen property, Canadian currency and various items surrounding the drug trafficking trade.
Police estimate the street value of the seized property and drugs at over $4,000.
Unfolding from this event, 9 people landed behind bars with charges such as possession for the purpose of trafficking.
7 of the people are scheduled to appear in court at a later date, while 2 are being held in custody.
Treaty Three Police has not released the names of the 9 people charged.
Treaty Three Police Service are mandated to identify suspected drug dealers, investigate their criminal activities and then charge them for their alleged crimes.
