(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Live on the Waterfront is back again! Showcasing Thunder Bays best local talent alongside some of Canada’s exceptional artists. 


This years 2018 line up is said to be the most diverse and talented lineup to date, including two-time Juno award winner and hip hop star Classified. The lineup also includes Canadian rock stars The Northern Pikes, country artist Dan Davidson and so much more! 

Live on the Waterfront (formerly Summer in The Parks) has just recently won an award for Best New Festival/Event in Ontario, and has also placed in the top 100 Event at the 2018 Festival & Events Ontario Awards.

The award of Municipality of the Year was awarded to The City of Thunder Bays Community & Cultural Development section for creating such an amazing environment that both hosts events, and produces its own. 

Two special dates have been added to this years Live on the Waterfront calendar.  Friday, June 29th with featuring artists Classified, Logan Staats, and more. Also, July 27th has been added featuring two performances by circus act Machine de Cirque.


Live on the Waterfronts regular schedule will take place every Wednesday evening from 6:30pm-9pm from July 11th to August 29th, located in the heart of Marina Park. Listed below is the 2018 Live on the Waterfront Lineup: 

  • June 29th (special date added) – Classified, Logan Staats, aerialist Sachiko Brayshaw with the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra string quartet, Elijah Will and more.
  • July 11th – Five Alarm Funk, Martin Blanchet Jazz Quintet, Hunt & Gather 
  • July 18th – The Northern Pikes, Tourist Bureau, The Roosters 
  • July 25th – Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, Raine Hamilton String Trio, Zachary Lucky 
  • July 28th (special date added) – Two performances by Machine de Cirque 5:30pm-9:30pm 
  • August 1st – Shred Kelly, Nick Sherman, Jean-Paul De Roover 
  • August 8th – Breabach, Hillsburn, Pierre Schryer Trio
  • August 15th – Dan Davidson, Sykamore, Greenbank
  • August 22nd – The Zola’s, The Treble, Ocean City Defender 
  • August 29th – DJ Shub, Iskwé, Siedd
