(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On June 13, 2018, at approximately 11:58am, officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Superior North Emergency Medical Service (EMS) responded to a two-vehicle collision.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 589 and Kam Current Road in Gorham Township.
The driver of a black minivan was northbound on Highway 589. As the driver proceeded to make a left turn onto Kam Current Road, the driver collided with a blue sedan that was southbound on Highway 589.
The driver of the minivan and the driver and passenger of the sedan were transported to the hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.
The female driver of the minivan was charged with:
- Turn-Not in Safety contrary to section 142(1) of the Highway Traffic Act.
