(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Thunder Bays largest city-sponsored event of the year is back!
Over 20,000 people will be down at the Prince Arthur’s Landing for all of the Canada Day celebrations beginning July 1st at 5pm.
Thunder Bay has gone bigger and better this year by hosting a first ever Canada Day strong man competition at Marina Park.
The competition will include the axe clean, the 350 lbs press, maximum deadlift, yoke, tire flip and sled drag.
The Honest Heart Collective will be headlining the big stage along with Martin Blanchette Jazz Quintet and Megan Nadin. There will also be a lot of delicious food vendors, and family fun activities. Admission at the Waterfront is free for everyone.
Other activities will be going on all day, starting at the Fort William Hisorical Park from 10am – 5pm. There will be a day time fireworks show, axe throwing and musket fireing, inflatable bouncy castles and live entertainment.
Admission at the Fort William Historical Park is $10 for adults, $8 for students and children are free.
The fireworks show at the Waterfront is expected to be the biggest yet, which is hosted by a new company this year. The fireworks are expected to be even better than last years 150th celebrations show.
Canada Day in Thunder Bay is going to be full of fabulous activities throughout the entire day. With the Fort William Rotary House Draw to be announced on our new mobile stage.
