(KENORA, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police(OPP) in Kenora has been made aware of fraud regarding fake gold jewelry being sold in the Kenora area.
Police have been told that individuals driving a small grey hatchback have approached Kenora residents trying to sell fake gold jewelry that is stamped “18K” with a story that they are trying to get back to Montreal.
The jewelry has been validated at a local jeweler as fake.
This same scam was reportedly happening in Thunder Bay as well, beware REAL Concerned Citizens.
Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
