(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Following yesterdays accident on the Harbour Expressway, a local media source has claimed there were “minor injuries suffered”. Multiple people close to the victim of the truck that was mangled (not the one on its side) have reached out to TRCCTB.COM to get the story out.
The occupant of that vehicle had their leg “completely backwards” when they arrived at the hospital via ambulance. They are also waiting for time in the operating room to repair the damage. Furthermore, they have dental and facial damage that may also need reconstruction.
Police have said that a blue Chevy pick-up truck that was westbound on the Harbour Expressway rear-ended a car which was in the left turning lane, waiting to turn onto Highway 61.
Police say the force from that collision sent the pick-up truck into the eastbound lanes of the Harbour Expressway, which resulted in a head-on collision between the Dodge pick-up truck and the Chevy pick-up truck.
The collision resulted in non-life threatening injuries, but serious injuries.
Charges are pending as the investigation is still ongoing.
Police would like to remind motorists that due to a long weekend, traffic volumes are going to be higher than average, and to please drive safely.
*** UPDATE: The story claiming “minor injuries” has been pulled, but no official correction notice has been published. Is TRCCTB and TBCHIE the only ones who issue corrections? Isn’t corrections apart of the Journalist Standards and Practises? *jeopardy music playing*
