(ARMSTRONG, ON.) – On July 4, 2018 at approximately 2:07pm, officers from the Armstrong Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advised of a missing boater.
On July 3, at approximately 2:00pm, the boater, a 78 year old male, from Minnesota, had ventured out on a solo fishing trip on Ogoki Reservoir.
He had not returned to camp. Ogoki Reservoir is located approximately 80 kilometres north east of Armstrong.
Officers from the North West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the OPP helicopter conducted a search of the area and located the missing male at approximately 9:05pm.
The male was dehydrated but in otherwise good health.
