(FORT FRANCES, ON) – On July 8, 2018 at approximately 12:32 PM, members of the Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a call of a car in the ditch on Highway 602 in Alberton Township.
Officers attended the scene and located a female. Through their investigation, officers determined that the female had alcohol in her body. The female was subsequently arrested and transported to the detachment for further tests.
As a result, Zoe Namaypoke, 26 years of age, of Fort Frances, has been charged with:
- Drive Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
- Novice Driver – BAC (blood alcohol content) more than zero contrary to section 44.1(3) of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of August 13, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Fort Frances.
