(NEEBING, ONT) – A beautiful rural camping location called Falling Snow Lake was left littered with broken beer bottles all along the shore this past week.
Falling Snow is located in the township of Neebing through South Gillies. It is a very beautiful camping spot with fire pits along the beach and a floating dock.
The residents that live in the area have been cleaning up broken beer bottles on a regular basis throughout this summer.
The littering never stops, with new smashed bottles along the shore every week.
The broken bottles make it an extreme hazard for campers including children and pets who swim in the area.
For those that know the area, the giant wooden cable spool was used as a table for local campers who wrote their names and initials into it.
The wooden spool has now been destroyed. It is half burnt and thrown into the beach by previous campers.
Thunder Bay is known for its beautiful camping spots. We are so lucky to have so many places to go and camp all around our city.
Please respect our camp grounds and pick up after yourself. The broken bottles and garbage left behind is ruining our beautiful camping spots.
