(RAITH, ON) – A sad scene unfolded today roughly 9 kilometres west of Raith at the Central/Eastern Standard Time Zone marker. The location is also a popular pull over spot along the highway, with rest rooms and room to park and sleep.

OPP officers were seen on location investigating what ended up being a very unfortunate event.
A person that was initially at the scene told TRCCTB that a man was found deceased in a white van. It’s believed that he had fallen asleep and did not wake up.
The males estimated age and identifying description are being withheld by TRCCTB at this time to afford the next of kin time to become informed.
TRCCTB would like to suggest that people travel with a buddy. This way not only is there someone to socialize with, but you can also utilize the buddy system. If someone were to go into medical distress the other buddy can call for help.
