(KENORA, ON) โ€“ OPP in Kenora are searching the bush near Bunny Street for a suspect,ย possibly two. after they allegedly stole a car at gunpoint, sources have indicated. It was alleged that two rifles with hollow points were found in the recovered stolen car.


We have been told that Ontario Provincial Police have deployed their heavily armed officers, along with an air unit and heat/flair unit in an attempt to apprehend the 1 or 2 suspects.

Civilians in the area have reported hearing gunshots being fired where police are searching.Bunny Street is blocked off by two armed police officers, that are holding shotguns, according to our source.

OPP refuse to release any information at this point, and have advised us that information will be made available later on.

On Friday July 20, 2018 at approximately 11:56 a.m.members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Kenora were dispatched to a report of a firearm being discharged in the Kirkpatrick Ave. area of Kenora.

OPP responded immediately and one male was taken into custody. The Emergency Response Team and K-9 Unit also attended as a precaution.

A heavy police presence was on scene to ensure the safety of the public and an ongoing investigation is underway.
