(FORT WILLIAM FIRST NATION, ON) – A wild fog engulfed the top of Mount McKay this evening, which spelled disaster for one hiker.
Tips came into our newsdesk about a woman that became stranded on the mountain during her hike, when she fell and injured herself.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue was called to the location, along with Superior North EMS to help assist the injured woman.
Her injuries are not considered life threatening according to a tip.
The fog was most likely an aggravating factor for all involved, but did not hinder rescue efforts.
One ambulance, two pumper trucks and a pick up truck responded to the scene. More photos below this advertisement:
