(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On the morning of August 27th, 2018, the Thunder Bay Police Traffic Unit made an arrest in regards to the fail to remain motor vehicle collision which occurred at Ford Street at Isabella Street on August 21st, 2018.
The collision left a 60 year old Thunder Bay male with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
According to allegations read into court, the male sustained serious injuries to at least one of his legs, with bone protruding out of his skin.
57-year-old Rita Sklar of was taken into custody at the Thunder Bay Police Station this morning and will appear in court today.
Sklar has been charged with:
- Failing to stop at the scene of an accident – causing bodily harm, contrary to the Criminal Code
- Stop sign violation contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
The Thunder Bay Police received numerous tips from the public in regards to this collision and would like to thank the public for their assistance.
