(DRYDEN, ON) – A large fire erupted yesterday at the former Thunder Lake Lodge, which destroyed the building.
Firefighters from Dryden, Oxdrfift and Wagigoon were called on to help battle the blaze.
Nobody was hurt in the blaze, although the building burned down.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry were called on to assist in suppressing the flames by having waterbombers splash the incident as there was concerns the fire could spread to the nearby forest.
57 Dumps of water were dropped from the aircraft.
This fire is still under investigation.
