(PASS LAKE & TERRACE BAY, ON) – Two highway collisions have happened on highways in the region in the past day.
The first one occurred on Highway 11/17, at the intersection with the Flying J truck stop in Pass Lake, according to a tip we received. Ontario Provincial Police, Shuniah Fire & Emergency, along with Superior North EMS responded to the scene.
This collision involved a motor vehicle and a motorcycle and had happened last evening. We have no confirmed information about injuries but have reason to believe at least one person was seriously injured.
The second collision happened overnight, 50 kilometres east of Terrace Bay on Highway 17. Ontario Provincial Police, Terrace Bay Fire Department, along with Superior North EMS
This collision involved a single vehicle and a moose which happened at roughly 4:00 am.
Injuries are unknown about this collision at this time.
Both scenes have been cleared as of the time of this writing.
