LAST LIVE ON THE WATERFRONT WITH FIREWORKS FINALE TONIGHT

(THUNDER BAY, ONT) – Tonight is the final Live on the Waterfront show for summer of 2018 and its going out with a bang! There will be a huge firework finale following the final performances of the evening.

Live on the Waterfront, presented by Ontario Power Generation, is a weekly event that takes place every Wednesday evening throughout the summer in Thunder Bay.

The event showcases the best local talent and also some of North America’s most talented artists. Performances start at 6pm to 9pm followed by a fireworks show.

The first performance starting at 6pm, opening up with a talented Canadian songwriter and producer named Siedd.

Siedd was raised in Mississauga Ontario and at the age of 14 his family moved to Thunder Bay. Once he moved to Thunder Bay he discovered a love for playing guitar and began writing and producing his own music.

In July 2016, Siedd created his own YouTube channel where he shared his creations and renditions of other artists music. Siedds music videos have accumulated over 5 million streaks on YouTube.

The next performer up at 7pm is Iskwé who is a winner of the 2017 West Coast Music awards for Electric/Dance Artist of the Year. Her album The Fight Within has recently received a JUNO nomination for Indigenous Music Album Of The Year.

Iskwé wrote her debut single “Nobody Knows” which was produced by Juno award nominees The Darcys and was featured in the Netflix series called Between. The single captivated audiences by highlighting the 1200 missing and murdered indigenous women in Canada.

The third and final performance starting at 8pm will be DJ Shub. Born and raised in Grand River Ontario and formerly part of A Tribe Called Red, DJ Shub is an award winning music producer with two DMC DJ Championship titles.

Along with his many DJ titles, DJ Shub also has trophies from the JUNO Awards and the Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards.

The fireworks show is scheduled to begin following these performances, around 9:30pm, admission is free.
