(CANADA) – The Farmers Almanac is warning Canadians that we will be experiencing extremely cold temperatures this winter.
It is predicted that the coldest weather will begin mid February when an Artic cold front will produce extremely cold blistering winds with a sharp decrease in temperature.
The prairies should expect their average amount of snow fall whereas, Ontario and Quebec should expect higher than normal amounts in their regions.
The first snow falls are expected to begin in November. Significant wintery weather is expected throughout the month with two to three big storms expected to hit throughout Canada.
Even cold temperatures have been predicted for southern areas like Texas and Louisiana.
The Farmers Almanac editor Peter Geiger says that most of their storm predictions are never off more than a few days.
Last year they predicted five storms to hit the US East Coast last winter, and they were only two days off.
