(NORTH AMERICA) – There has been a massive recall involving over 2 million Ford F-150 trucks after reports of smoke and fire from the seat belts.
Ford Motor Company says the front seat pretensioners which tighten and give slack to the seat belt, can generate sparks and even catch fire.
The vehicles involved in the recall are:
- 2015-2018 Ford F-150 built at Dearborn Assembly Plant, March 12 2014 to August 23 2018
- 2015-2018 Ford F-150 built at Kansas City Assembly Plant, August 20 2014 to August 23 2018
All repairs will be done at the Ford Motors Dealerships with no costs to the customers.
There are over 339,884 of the recalled vehicles in Canada, 1,619,112 in the US and 36,780 in Mexico.
