(SHUNIAH, ON) โ€“ Thunder Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has received a report of election signs being stolen, vandalized and / or tampered with in the Municipality of Shuniah.

This behaviour has been happening in Thunder Bay, with signs going missing and/or damaged and needing repair.

The public is reminded that any person participating in this type of behaviour is subject to being charged with mischief and / or theft under the Criminal Code.

Should you witness anyone vandalizing or removing legally erected election signs you are asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

  1. election signs aren’t supposed to be on public property. Anyone complaining about election signs being removed need to seriously look at where they are located before complaining. Look around the city and you will see a ridiculous amount of signs displayed in a fashion not legally acceptable. I have no sympathy for these candidates.
