(FORT FRANCES, ON) – On September 28, 2018, at approximately 6:08PM, two members of the Rainy River Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of an impaired driver on Highway 11 in Morley Township.
Officers attended the area, located the suspect vehicle, and eventually stopped it near Morley Dilke Road on Highway 11.
Officers spoke to the female driver, and immediately determined that she had alcohol in her body. She was subsequently arrested, and transported to the Rainy River Detachment, where more tests were to take place. The driver refused to provide a breath sample.
Darlene MADILL, 54 years of age, of Watten Township, has been charged with the following Criminal Offences:
- Drive while Ability Impaired contrary to section 253(1)(a)
- Refusal to Provide a Breath Sample contrary to section 254(3)
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Rainy River on October 31, 2018 in answer to the charges.
