(FORT FRANCES, ON) โ€“ On October 5, 2018 at approximately 2:45 AM, members of the Rainy River District OPP detachment were dispatched to a call of a possible impaired driver at the Canada Border Services Agency in Fort Frances.

Officers attended the scene, and conducted an investigation, subsequently arresting a male, and transporting him to the Fort Frances OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result, Michael THAYER, 45 years of age, of Fort Frances, has been charged with the following:

  • Driving with more than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of October 29, 2018 in answer to the charges.
