(DRYDEN, ON) – The Dryden Police Service say they are investigating a break and enter at a construction site, located at 91 Rourke Avenue.
Sometime overnight, on October 21st, 2018, suspects forcibly entered the building and removed various power tools and contracting equipment worth tens of thousands of dollars.
A 19 year old male is in custody after the Dryden Police Service received a call from a Sandy Beach Road resident about a break and enter in progress.
On October 22nd, 2018 at 9:06pm, the home owners called police after hearing a loud crash and discovering the door to their residence was broken and access had been gained. The male was reportedly still in the backyard.
The quick response of the officers led to the arrest of 19 year old, Jonathan McKAY from Dryden, who has been charged with
- Break and Enter
- Possession of Stolen Property
- Failing to comply with a previous court order.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with conditions.
