(DRYDEN, ON) – An Arrest Warrant Has Been Issued for a Robbery Suspect

On October 24th, 2018 at approximately 09:09am, the Dryden Police Service responded to a call at the Dryden High School after a student was held at knife point in a neighbouring parking lot.

During the incident, the accused demanded that the youth turn over a cell phone.

The accused fled without obtaining any property, after observing other witnesses nearby and no injuries were sustained.

Through investigation, Dryden Police has identified the accused to be 30-year-old, Roy Mitchell Fobister.

Charges of Robbery with a Weapon and Fail to Comply with Probation, have been laid and a Warrant for his arrest has been issued.

Please contact the Dryden Police Service if you know the whereabouts of the accused.

If the accused is encountered, do not confront him, but contact the police immediately.

  1. Our children should feel safe at school. As a parent sending my child to school gives me anxiety. This story could have gone bad.

  2. I’m a Canadian born Native American with Indian Staus but I look Caucasian. My nationality has nothing to do with my anxiety. I just know our schools aren’t safe our streets are not safe. People are unpredictable when you have something they want.
