MAN CHARGED WITH WAL-MART FRAUD & ASSAULTING POLICE TO RESIST ARREST

(THUNDER BAY, ON) โ€“ย A man has been charged criminally after an alleged fraud that took place at an area Wal-Mart, and scuffle with police.

42-year-old Frank Baer appeared in a Thunder Bay bail court this morning via video from the Thunder Bay Police Service station to begin to process of answering to an incident at the Arthur Street Wal-Mart.

Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Zelda Kitchekeesic was presiding along with provincial Crown Attorney Fairchild and duty counsel lawyer Aranka Golphy.

Baer is charged with the following charges:

  • Fraud under $5000
  • Assault police officer in an attempt to resist arrest
  • Breach of probation

The Crown recommends Baerโ€™s release on the following conditions:

  • Do not attend 1101 Arthur Street West
  • No contact or communicationย with 3 people
  • No weapons
  • Surrender any licenses for weapons/do not apply for new licenses

Duty counsel has already canvassed the conditions with the accused, and they are agreed upon.

Justice of the Peace Kitchekeesic orders Baer released on the agreed upon conditions. He is escorted back to his cell where he will await for the courthouse paperwork to be completed and faxed over to the police station before he is released.
