SOUTHERN ONTARIO GANG MEMBERS ARRESTED

(TIMMINS, ON) – The Timmins Police Service – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), working in conjunction with the Timmins Police Emergency Response Team (ERT), executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a multi-unit dwelling in the north end of the city yesterday afternoon.

As a result of the search, 10 adult persons were arrested with 9 of them remaining in police custody for the purposes of a bail hearing.

A total of 119 charges were laid against these persons in relation to this investigation.
The search resulted in the seizure of the following controlled substances:

  • 40 grams of heroin
  • 221.7 grams of cocaine
  • 31.6 grams of crack cocaine
  • 7.1 grams of “purp” (a mixture of Heroin and powdered Fentanyl)
  • 117 oxycodone tablets
  • 17 methamphetamine tablets
  • 92.5 Fentanyl patches
  • a Glock 9 mm handgun with an extended magazine
  • a loaded 45 calibre handgun

The estimated street value of the controlled substances seized is assessed at $111 000.00.
In addition, an undetermined quantity of Canadian Currency was also seized as a result of the CDSA warrant being executed.

The following persons were arrested and held for bail on the charges listed:

41-year-old Justin SKINNER-WHITHERS (no photo, please email to contactus@trcctb.com) of Timmins, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

  • 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • 11 firearms related charges contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

20-year-old Vince DEJALA(pictured above), of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with:

  • 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
  • 5 firearms related charges contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

19-year-old Jeffrey DONDJI (no photo, please send to contactus@trcctb.com), of Ottawa, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

  • 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
  • 6 firearms related charges contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

  • 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • 7 firearms related charges contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

29-year-old Samantha KITLER (pictured above), of North Bay, Ontario has been arrested and charged with:

  • 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • 7 firearms related charges contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

 

61-year-old Bernice SUTHERLAND of Timmins, Ontario has been arrested and charged with:

  • 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
  • 5 firearms related charges contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

37-year-old Jamie SUTHERLAND, (pictured above) of Timmins, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

  • 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
  • 5 firearms related charges contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

 

36-year-old Shelley SUTHERLAND of Porcupine, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

  • 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
  • 5 firearms related charges contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

33-year-old Jean FRANTZY (no photo, please send to contactus@trcctb.com), of Ottawa, Ontario has been arrested and charged with:

  • 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • 7 firearms related charges contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • 4 counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

These accused remains in police custody while awaiting a Bail Hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against them.

Additionally, Wendy ROTHWELL (pictured above), 46, of Timmins was arrested and subsequently released with a court date of December 18th at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
