(THUNDER BAY, ON) – The Thunder Bay Police Service executed a search warrant on an apartment in the 100 block of Secord Street at about 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
During the search officers seized a loaded handgun, 20 grams of a substance believed to be Fentanyl, 14 grams of a substance believed to be crack cocaine, six grams of cocaine and more than $11,000 in cash.
As a result of that search and an ongoing investigation, police have arrested and charged four people.
23-year-old Juquan GOULBOURNE of Toronto, and also a gang member,
41-year-old Newton Dominique MAMAKEESIC, of Thunder Bay,
19-year-old Donna Chantel WABASSE, of Thunder Bay and,
36-year-old Orane Warwyck WEST, of Toronto, also a gang member, have all been charged with:
- Possession of Schedule 1 Substance for Purpose of Trafficking x 2
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
GOULBOURNE and MAMAKEESIC were also charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance.
Police have also confirmed that GOULBOURNE and WEST are known members of a Toronto-area gang.
All accused appeared in court today and have been remanded into custody with future court dates.
The Ontario Provincial Police assisted in this investigation and raid.
